"The Walls of Tuscany" Series

The "Walls of Cortona" is a series inspired by photos I took of the walls and architecture on a trip to Italy, more specifically in the town of  Cortona. These painting represent the oldest part of town where the outer walls of the buildings were dilapidated- and many years/layers were exposed. These buildings were all occupied, and our guide assured us that the insides had been beautifully renovated, and decorated. Oh my....the hundreds of years of secrets that these walls hold!!
